Export Area Manager – Western Europe, Latin America
Introduce yourself: who is ERICA TONO?
First of all, I am an optimist and I love waking up every morning with a smile. I am always on the go and searching for new motivation, from sport to literature, from travelling to cooking, I take inspiration from everything around me and I love to face challenges.
What does it mean for you to be an EXPORT AREA MANAGER?
In three words PASSION, CHALLENGE and DIALOGUE. Being an EXPORT AREA MANAGER for me means to be a great listener and interpreter – in order to combine my company and my customer’s needs – and it allows me to work in an international environment. Proactivity, adaptability to change and balance are the talents that I consider essential in this role.
To export professional technology: what are the needs of the market you are responsible for? And which ones are the more appreciated features of Yesovens?
The needs and the logics are really different between markets; for this reason, it is fundamental to start from an excellent knowledge of the country and of the culture you are in contact with. The recognized plus points of Yesovens are the opportunity to work with a new brand – condition that allows us to create real partnership with our customers – and for sure our distinctive design. The art of cooking is more and more expressed through sight.
What’s your overall view of the EXPORT market? In which way is it evolving?
The Export world is accelerating, limits and distances are thinner and nowadays the term of comparison is the whole world. To stand out in such a wide panorama it is central for me to communicate the values of my company and to tell the story that stands behind the product. At the same time, it is essential to structure sales and communication through a quantitative approach but keeping in mind the general overview.
What’s your own interpretation of your company message #MAKEOPPORTUNITYYOURCHOICE?
#MAKEOPPORTUNITYYOURCHOICE is a positive message, that looks towards the future but that we can apply in everyday small choice. It is an invitation to go out from your comfort zone, to be open to change and to seize new challenges and possibilities. Often during my life the most inspiring experiences are born from opportunities that I was not be able even to imagine.
